Like to take advantage of new starters, I was fortunate to start at a half decent salary, but discovered that fellow co-workers same title started at significantly less than I did. Also, for the technical people, they like to ride one or two engineers to the bone and they burn out rather quickly. Very sad to see as those tend to be the most intelligent and hard working people. Similar story for young talent, squeeze out every last bit for as little money as possible until they realize they are worth more and leave.
CEO seems more interested in making enough money to keep his racing hobby up than actually growing business. Lastly, there is a bit nepotism.
Those who have been there for many, many years tend to stick around despite the fact that they are not very good at their position by quantitive measures, not qualitive. It is frustrating to see when they have such a fertile ground for talent, yet ignore it and continue in a viscious circle of being, "just good enough. Foster your young talent, there is a solid amount of it that comes through. Reward them both financially and with career growth; you are adjacent to NYC where will that will be found.
Same for your technical staff. Overall an understanding workplace and positive environment. Managers and co-workers are always available to you and everyone is very friendly. The training was not the best I have had. They need to implement a training program of the overall company before placing anyone in their role. Training program needs to be developed so that anyone who is hired can fully understand what the company does, how it works, and the overall processes.
There is a true sense of family, cooperation between divisions, all hands on deck approach to meeting goals. Senior management has an open door policy which allows employees to build relationships and present new ideas. Every employee matters here. New casual dress code policy is an appreciated new benefit. Strict telecommuting policies, high cost of medical benefits, employees miss having the holiday week off.
I believe management has done a wonderful job of remaining approachable and relating to all employees while still being highly effective and results driven. Custom Computer has a great work environment that fosters collaboration.
A strong client base, a focus executive management team, and a commitment to their employees provides a chance to excel. Having been with the company for more than a decade I have seen it weather many storms. Benefit plan could be more stable. The employees that work at Custom are all around great people. The culture is focused on training and development of the managers. The company values each and every employee.

The company has events throughout the year that employees and their families are invited to. The salaries are fair.
The company is poised for incredible growth this year and I'm excited to be a part of it. The headquarters are located on Long Island. The company employs staff all over the Northeast, from Maine to Maryland. There's even an onsite gym and extra-large kitchen. Benefits are pricey but, that could just be the ever rising costs of healthcare. Free coffee only for executives or guests.
